Two groups by age.
Each group is 1 hour 50 minutes. Your child is placed according to their year in England.
Group 1 is the younger group including Y5 (11:00–12:50); group 2 is Y6 and above (13:00–14:50).

Year 5 and below · 11:00 – 12:50
The younger group: Turkish for children from Reception to Year 5.
Group 2
Year 6 and above · 13:00 – 14:50
Reading, writing and speaking for Year 6 and above.
What we cover
Every group is built on three threads:
- Reading, writing and grammar in Turkish
- Literature: stories, folk tales, poems — our age-appropriate classics
- Culture and history: our festivals, our folk songs, the story of our nation
Curriculum framework
Our programme follows the framework the T.C. Ministry of National Education prepares for Turkish children abroad, adapted to make sense to a child whose Sundays — and weekdays — happen in England.
In our Year 6 and above group we emphasise reading, writing and speaking. We do not claim exam-board or public-exam preparation; the aim is to strengthen the child's Turkish.
We are also building a small lending library of Turkish storybooks for children new to the language; once it’s ready, parents will be welcome to borrow.
